NEWSLETTER FOR NOVEMBER 2009
GRAND KNIGHTS CORNER
Dear Brother Knights and Sister Columbiettes;
Here is the month in which we call to mind the Saints of God, the souls of the departed, Veterans past and present and our national day of Thanksgiving. Autumn begins to take her leave as winter approaches. This month offers much to reflect upon and reflection upon which to be thankful. Let us together acknowledge our dependence upon God, the giver of all good gifts and know that it is not what we say about our blessings but how we use them.
As Knights, let us recommit ourselves to god and family that has played such an important role in making our nation great and our fraternity strong.
Thank you to CJ Witty for the great time everybody had at the Doo Wop Show. Everyone raved about it. Lets do it again.
I want to wish everybody and their family a very Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving.
Fraternally yours
Rey Sandoval - Grand Knight
COLUMBIETTE CORNER
Congratulations, to all of the Altar Servers that continue to serve our parish and community. It was a wonderful evening shared with our Brother Knights, Fr. John Leonard and the family and friends of all the Altar Servers. Thank you for inviting the Columbiettes to share in this wonderful event. Thank you to Joan Taggart and all the ladies that helped with the Baked Potato Night-it was a lot of fun and the fixins bar was fantastic. I am hearing whispers of other auxiliaries looking to copy our event. Our October meeting was especially nice with our rosary prayer service celebrated with Fr. John Leonard and then a little surprise birthday party for his 50th birthday. Wishing you many more Fr. John. The regular meeting will be held on November 16th and our Christmas Dinner Meeting will be held on our regular meeting night, December 15th. Details and cost of the dinner will be available next newsletter or for more information call Jane Lee 973-838-8654. Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving Day with many blessings for you, your families and friends. Keep those not sharing at your bountiful table in your prayers and especially for those who suffer with illness, loss of Jobs, the homeless and our Armed Forces- They need our constant prayers.

A KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CHRIST CAROL
“Ho, Ho, Ho, Merry Christmas little boy” said Santa. “What would you like for Christmas? A new Bike, a lap top computer?”
“Gee Santa” said the little boy “I would like a Life Insurance Policy from the Knights of Columbus.”
“A Life Insurance Policy?” said Santa. “Why would you want that for Christmas?’
The little boy answered, “Because, Santa, a Life Insurance Policy from the Knights of Columbus will give me a head start on my financial future, guarantee my insurability regardless of my future health and because the cash value grows significantly over time, when I am ready to retire I will have a nice nest egg to help make my golden years a bit easier.”
“My, my little boy” said Santa, “you really like to plan ahead. And you’re right because the best time to plan for your future is right now. Unfortunately, I do not have a license to sell the Knights of Columbus Life Insurance, but I have a helper and a good friend that does. His name is Guy and here is his phone number, 973-586-0098, ask you Dad or Mom to give my friend a call and he will be able to get you what you want for Christmas.”
“Thanks, Santa” said the little boy “I knew you could help. “You’re the best. Now, about that lap top computer…”
AND THEY ALL LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER.
Fraternally
